EU summit: proclaimed success is democratic failure
By Europe on Saturday, June 23 2007, 19:06 - Voice of Europe
Brussels, 2007-06-23
After months of secret Sherpa negotiations outside of parliamentary control, European leaders came together to this weekend's EU summit to fix the institutional impasse for the better - or worse. By Europe on Thursday, June 21 2007, 09:47 - Euractions
3000 trade unionists on 20th gathered the European institutions in Brussels in support of the Charter of Fundamental Rights being included in any new European constitutional treaty. The European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC) wants it to become binding on member states as well.

No Europe No Party!
By Europe on Tuesday, June 19 2007, 12:29 - Voice of Europe
Behind close doors. This is the method our governments have chosen to redesign a new Constitutional Treaty.
On 21 and 22 of June European council will meet in Bruxelles to decide how to move forward (or backward). Despite of transparency and democracy our political leaders are taking very important decisions about our future without any involvement of citizens and of national and European parliaments.
